La entrega número 90 de los
afamados premios de la Academia de Hollywood mejor conocidos en el mundo como
los premios OSCAR llevaron a cabo su
celebración a la entrega de la estatuilla dorada a lo mejor de la industria
cinematográfica principalmente de los Estados Unidos. En este año la palabra “México”
fue la más sonada de la noche con el simple hecho de que el cineasta Guillermo
del Toro fuera el galardonado de las categorías principales como el mejor director
y mejor película.
De igual manera la presencia de
la película de Disney-Pixar “Coco” se hacía la ganadora como la mejor película
animada respaldada por el performance realizado en vivo por el actor Gael
García Bernal, haciendo la interpretación en tonos como el personaje de la
historia “Hector” para dar introducción a Miguel, un cantautor estadounidense
de raíces mexicanas y a la cantante Natalia Lafourcade acompañados de un ballet
folklórico para ofrecer todo un ensamble muy al estilo mexicano y como era de
esperarse se llevaría el triunfo como mejor canción original esta pieza musical
creada por los hermanos López.
“The Shape of water” llamaría la atención por la cantidad de
nominaciones recibidas para esta entrega de premios obteniendo los principales
galardones y el momento estelar fue ver a Guillermo del Toro al estrado y agradecer
a sus compatriotas mexicano afirmando que como ellos la nación norteamericana
está hecha a base de inmigrantes y eso lo hace grande.
